    Program:

    The Mercy College Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is designed for registered nurses with associate degrees or diplomas in nursing planning to return to school for a bachelor's degree.

    Curriculum:

    The foundation of the BS-RN program consists of courses in liberal arts and sciences in conjunction with upper division nursing courses. Upper division nursing courses include: physical assessment, cultural diversity, community health, leadership, health policy and
    research.

    Mercy's Nursing program is registered by The New York State Education Department and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE, 1998-2008).

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    If I'm not yet a nurse, can I come to Mercy?
    You cannot come to Mercy, but can attend one the schools with which we are articulated and then enter the RN-BS program. The institutions with which we are affiliated are: Westchester Community College : 914-785-6600, Cochran School of Nursing : 914-964-4296, Dorothea Hopfer School of Nursing : 914-664-8000, Helene Fuld School of Nursing : 212-423-2700, and Borough of Manhattan Community College : 212-220-1265. Many healthcare institutions pay for nurses to attend the RN-BS program.

    How long does it take to complete the RN-BS program?
    Full-time students can complete the program in one to two years. Part-time students usually complete in two to three years.

    Do I need to meet with anyone in admissions?
    You should meet with an admissions counselor to have your transcripts evaluated. You will then meet with the Director or Associate Director of the Nursing programs.

    Is there financial aid available?
